Does anyone think a trip to the English vineyards would be interesting - later this year we will be having a champagne tasting and we will be offered some English "champagne" - I'd be happy to see if say, Suzanne Lock could take us - what do members think?   Mary  Smiley

I'v had a short trip around the Chilford Hall Vineyards near Cambridge, and it was small but prettily formed. And the wine is pretty good too! I bought a case just before Christmas as an ideal aperitif

I think Suzanne would be the perfect person to organise such a trip perhaps around picking time in Autumn. Shall we put it to her?
On the same subject. I'm awaiting someone to organise a trip to either Burgundy or Bordeaux. I've asked Peter Edwards whoe's organised trips to both before and he's thinking about planning something for next year.

In the Autumn you might get some bargains from cellars being cleared out for the new vintage too.

I think a trip around English Vineyards would be a great idea,...if we can find the right person to do it! Jennifer
